dc.description.abstract |
This study discussed the design and development of C-band Micro strip patch Antenna with Strip-Slot
Hybrid Structure. The proposed antenna consisted of four strips which were separated by three narrow
slots, ground plane with coupling aperture and Y-shaped feeding structure. The strip-slot feeding structure
used to enhance the bandwidth up-to 41% by controlling the dimensions of the strips and the slots. The
designed antenna was modelled in CST MW studio. The proposed antenna fabricated on FR-4 substrate
with dielectric constant 4.4. The fabricated antenna was tested in the far-field antenna test range and
Network Analyser. The test results were compared with simulated results. The proposed structure was good
candidate for broadband data link and altimeter applications in airborne vehicles. |
